Personality

Generally, female Rottweilers(Dames) are more aloof than the male Rottweilers, with a more independent personality. They are far less attention-seeking than the males yet have a more affectionate and loving heart. An adult female Rottweiler (Dames) is of an average height of 22-25 inches and an average weight of 77-105 pounds. They are weaned when they are 8 weeks old, and a female puppy is around 12 pounds at that stage. By 2-3 years, the female Rottweiler reaches adulthood and becomes more graceful and poised in her movements. These dogs have a distinct physical trait that makes them recognizable from a distance. Black case coat with tan markings on the dog’s chest, face, and legs. Moreover, they have a boxy-shaped head approximately the same width as the Height.

As they grow, they develop their characters and traits more distinctly, making them stand out in the crowd. For example, they are exceptionally loyal to their family and immensely courageous in facing any opponent or challenge. However, the female Rottweilers (Dames) show way less aggression than the males, as their motherly instincts bring out a softer side to their traits. In addition, unlike the males, the female Rottweilers(Dames) are also less likely to get attached to one particular member; they show the same level of loyalty and affection toward the whole family.

Training

Both male and female Rottweilers are equally intelligent and competent. Still, according to trainers, female Rottweilers(Dames) mature slightly faster than the males, and thus they are usually easier to train. In addition, they are calmer, obedient, and have more self-control to focus on training for longer periods without being distracted. Moreover, they portray a less dominant nature, so they are more likely to follow commands. Despite their comparative lack of dominance, aggression, and territorial behavior, female Rottweilers become wonderfully trained police and military dogs.

Health & Care

Regarding health issues, the female Rottweilers (dames) are no different from the male Rottweilers. Both suffer from the same genetic or lifestyle-related health issues. However, female Rottweilers are more prone to health problems if not sterilized. They may suffer from hormonal fluctuations that can cause them to be moody at times, and they also go through regular heat cycles. Since at Kleeket LLC, we intend on breeding, we don’t sterilize the dames. Instead, we have a group of experienced trainers and nutritionists who carefully select the dames for breeding and closely observe their behaviors. The experts train them, grow them and give them the necessary nutrition for better growth and agility. They are raised under natural conditions to grow to their full potential and reproduce healthy puppies.

Common Health Issues

Breeding

Experts suggest just like males; you must wait at least 2 years before breeding your female Rottweiler (Dames). Females reach their full sexual maturity at around 16 months; however, this is still not favorable for breeding since it may confuse and cause stress to the young mother. Moreover, you should not breed a female older than 8 years, as they will have decreased quality of eggs.
